The Stomahesive Paste by ConvaTec is a hydrocolloid-based skin barrier. The hydrocolloids create a protective sheath over the wound, which allows the skin to keep in healing fluids that protect the wound. If the wound site is uneven, it can also be used as filler. This increases the wear time of the Ostomy system. Lastly, it offers protection for fistula sites is specially designed for urinary stomas, ileostomy, and colostomy.
