Designed to maintain adhesive properties and features a formulation designed to help protect the skin’s own moisture barrier
The CeraPlus skin barrier pairs with the New Image pouching system, and patients continue to enjoy exclusive features such as the integrated floating flange, AF300 filter, and Lock ’n Roll micro seal closure
Use the CeraPlus skin barrier with the preferred New Image pouch, including drainable, high output, closed, and urostomy options based on your patients’ needs.
The CeraPlus skin barrier with Remois technology is infused with ceramide. Ceramide is a natural component of human skin that helps to decrease transepidermal water loss (TEWL) from damaged or eroded skin. It is designed to maintain adhesive properties and features a formulation to help protect the skin's natural moisture barrier and help maintain good peristomal skin health. Use the CeraPlus skin barrier with New Image pouches, including drainable, high output, closed, and urostomy options.

Hollister New Image® Non-Sterile Drainable Kits with clamp closure include one FlexWear® skin barrier with floating flange and one ultra clear New Image® drainable pouch with pouch clamp closure. These pouches feature ComfortWear panels attached to both sides of the pouch which provide a soft, cloth-like, fabric-type covering between the pouch and the skin and is very comfortable against the skin.
Protects skin from corrosive drainage with the standard wear, FlexWear® skin barrier.
Eliminates pressure on tender post-operative abdomens with the exclusive floating flange.
Confidence assured with the floating flange; provides utmost security with the patented locking system that audibly "clicks" into place.
Measure the stoma size with the measuring guide provided. Trace the exact stoma size onto the center white release paper of the skin barrier. The small starter hole should be in the center of your tracing.
Important: Before cutting, separate the front and back panels to avoid cutting through the pouch. Make sure that the inner surfaces of the pouch are separated and that the pouch contains a small amount of air.
Cut along the tracing with curved, short blade scissors.
Cut the center hole the same size as the stoma, using the guidelines on the release paper. Do not cut beyond the last line.
Remove the white release paper from the skin barrier. Leave the outer release paper on the tape collar in place.
Press firmly on the center of the clip until it snaps securely closed.
A caulking material, such as Stomahesive Paste, can be applied to the back of the skin barrier to further fill gaps between the wafer and the stoma. Allow the paste to sit for one minute prior to application to the skin. (Do not spread the paste.)
For attachment of the tail clip, fold the bottom of the pouch over the tail clip only once.
With SenSura 1-piece urostomy, the SenSura double-layer barrier is permanently attached to the pouch. To change the pouch, the whole appliance is removed and replaced at once. SenSura 1-piece urostomy is available with flat or convex barriers. The full line includes transparent and opaque pouches with barriers that are pre-cut (already cut to size) or “cut-to-fit” (meaning they can be cut to achieve a custom fit).
Hollister Skin Barrier Ring Securi-T Mold to Fit, Standard Wear Adhesive without Tape Without Flange Universal System 4" Diameter, 10 EA/BX
The Hollister barrier ring supposed to help fill in uneven skin surfaces to enhance the fit of ostomy on the skin. The barrier help prevent leakage of stoma output under the skin barrier. All most all barrier rings are designed to be flexible that means the person can cut, stretch, or stack it to improve the fit of a pouching system in use.
Conformable seals 2" diameter, use around a stoma or surgical/wound drain to protect skin from leakage. They can be stretched as needed to fit a variety of stoma sizes and shapes.
Adapt Flat Barrier Rings
Barrier rings are designed to protect the peristomal skin. The barrier ring will help fill in uneven skin surfaces to enhance the fit of the skin barrier and help prevent leakage of stoma output under the skin barrier.
These barrier rings are flexible in design, meaning you can cut, stretch, or stack them together to help improve the fit of a pouching system. They can be applied to the adhesive side of the skin barrier or directly to clean dry peristomal skin. They are available in different sizes and different thicknesses.
Please be sure to check out the newest product addition to the Adapt barrier ring family – The caring Barrier Ring.
Hollister also offers a convex barrier ring accessory. Convex barrier rings help to provide a gentle convexity to a skin barrier, which can improve the fit of the barrier, minimize leakage, and protect the peristomal skin.
The Adapt convex barrier ring comes in a variety of sizes and two different shapes – round and oval – to accommodate many different shape stomas. The convex barrier rings should be applied to dry peristomal skin convex side down or to the adhesive side of the skin barrier flat side down.
One problem many people living with an ileostomy or colostomy experience is pancaking. This term describes stool stuck at the top of a pouching system around the stoma. Because the contents can’t drop to the bottom of the pouch, it attaches to the top and may cause leakage issues or interfere with the function of the integrated ostomy pouch filter.
A lubricating deodorant makes pouch emptying easier and can help prevent stool from sticking to the pouch. It lubricates the inside of the ostomy pouch and helps the stool to flow to the bottom of the pouch. This product also helps to minimize odor upon emptying and with pouch change.
The Adapt lubricating deodorant is colorless, odorless, and available in bottle or packet form. You can use it with each pouch change and after the pouch is emptied to neutralize odor and help stop the output from sticking.
Living with an ostomy means having to wear an ostomy skin barrier for prolonged periods and removing them from the skin with pouch changes. This may result in irritated or sore skin.
Adapt no sting skin protective wipes provide a protective film on the skin and acts as a protective interface between the skin and the ostomy skin barrier, helping to protect the skin when in contact with effluent and when removing adhesive products.
Apply the protective skin wipe to intact skin and allow to completely dry before applying the ostomy skin barrier. It is not recommended, however, for use with extended wear skin barriers, as this may decrease wear time.
