How to apply Medline Bordered Adhesive Wound Dressing?

  1. Remove Medline Gauze from the package
  2. Remove one side of the paper liner. Place over the wound and surrounding skin.
  3. Remove remaining liner. Smooth dressing over skin and wound.

  How to remove Medline Adhesive Island Dressing?

  • Gently press on the skin and lift an edge of the dressing
  • Carefully Stretch the dressing along the skin to minimize discomfort

When to change Island Wound Dressing?

  • Change the dressing as indicated by the amount of drainage or as frequently as the primary dressing indicates
  • Can be left in place for up to 7 days

Storage:

  • Protect from freezing
  • Avoid excessive heat
  • Sterile in an unopened, undamaged package

Precautions:

  • May be used as a waterproof primary or secondary dressing
