MedTrade 2026 Phenix AZ

Activities

I attended the Medtrade show this year, and 2026 was my first time participating. After four years of working at Sky Medical Supplies, it was exciting to finally attend one of the well-known Medtrade events, held in the beautiful city of Phoenix. Our visit was both economical and eventful.

The experience was quite eye-opening. In a nutshell, Medtrade is a place where you can observe the latest trends in the home medical supplies industry. Manufacturers and distributors—both large and small—come together to showcase a wide range of products, including both hardware and software solutions.

If you have an idea or concept you want to develop and eventually bring to manufacturing, or if you are looking to expand your product portfolio, as I am, this event is a valuable place to explore opportunities and make connections.

While I saw many software solutions at the event, I did not observe much visibility into the process through which these solutions originate and evolve. This may be partly because I did not attend the educational sessions that were advertised separately. However, one thing was very clear—billing and reimbursement were front and center, largely due to the strong influence of payer requirements in the industry.

My partner and I also had a slightly different kind of experience during the event. Our phones were not fully charged, which meant we couldn’t take as many pictures as we had hoped. We spent quite a bit of time looking for a charger. At one of the booths from a major brand, the presenter noticed our situation and kindly asked if we needed one. She offered us a charger, which we really appreciated.

However, it took some time before we were able to get it working properly. At the airport, it still wasn’t working, and my phone completely ran out of power. My partner’s phone barely had enough charge left—just enough to scan our boarding pass before boarding the flight. Eventually, when we arrived home, we were finally able to get the charger working.
